Who we are

The Leicester Buddhist Vihara is a Buddhist temple and one of the leading centres of Buddhism in Leicester and the UK. We provide help, advice, teaching and training to the Buddhist community and those with an interest in Buddhism or meditation. Beginners are most definitely welcome as well as experienced Buddhists.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

Images and Videos we used in our site captured/created by our staff and have not published or copied from any other locations. We obtain consent from all individuals prior to publishing any image unless they were captured during our public events. The only Images from public domains which are authorised to be reused, without any copyright violations may be used, within this site subjected to non-commercial and charitable activities.

If you complete any of our forms requesting services from EMBA or Leicester Buddhist Vihara on our site, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address contact details and website in cookies. These are for your convenience and contact you back to provide requested services. We do not share this information with any third parties and will last until you opt-out using the options given in our frequent emails requesting to do so.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
